Crwys Works - O gauge in a small space

We're only making plans... for micro
I'm very fond - perhaps obsessed - by minimum space/micro layouts whatever the scale/gauge.
Mr Carl Arendt's excellent website, Micro/Small Layouts, is (in my opinion) the best thing on the www. Packed with ideas and inspiration - great stuff.
Using foamboard, here is a tuning fork style micro in O gauge, 63" x 10" (40" scenic). Shunting is in the hands of a Class 35 Hymek, DCC fittted by Howes with sound. I still have some work to do; frame it in, use of a mirror at one end maybe, more weeds. Bits and bobs.

Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway

At the opening of the extension to Blaenavon High Level in May 2010, D5627 looks stunning in the sunshine.

Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway

37421 takes on a new look and makes you look twice!

On a scorching hot, bright October morning in Wales, 73128 ticks over. The driver for a fiver was however a highlight!

At Abergynolwyn

Talyllyn Railway

At Rhydyronen with a works train
I went camping at Easter and after a visit to the lovely Corris Railway, stayed by Rhydyronen Station on the Talyllyn. What a lovely place; snow on the mountain tops, sunshine and a few showers, lambs and daffs. Thank you Tom Rolt..

Forest of Dean - Diesel Day

Class 27
Has it been 6 months since I posted something? New job is the excuse.
A most enjoyable day on the lovely railway from Lydney and back.
Also picked up Railway Adventure by LTC Rolt for 20p and it's got me thinking of a dabble in oo9 again...
